Much like a cow but my hair is so thick, sometimes you'll do this if grossed out or sick

I have a ear, but I do not have a pair ofeyes, yet i stalk. I am often seen in pieces, and sometimes whole.

I am surrounded by heat, but I do not have weight. You might find me in a desert.

I can form colonies, But without the people, There are good and bad kinds of me, But people tend to steer clear.

I wear a train of vibrant hue, a thousand eyes in plainest view. I strut and fan with regal grace, a living rainbow in this place. My voice is not a song so sweet, but beauty's banner I complete.
