I drink no drop, yet cross the sea, Where restless waves make room for me. My feet are none, my stride is long, I dance where winds compose their song. I cradle dreams from shore to shore, Bringing tales of distant lore. Through storm and calm I hold my course, Guided not by fear, but force. My heart is wood, or steel made bright, Yet neither beats by day or night. I bear both treasure, hope, and crew, To lands unseen and skies anew. Though I may sleep within a bay, The open sea still calls my way. Without a wing I seem to fly, Beneath the endless, changing sky. What am I, whose faithful soul Makes endless waters feel like home?
